Support
One person makes these programs and the same person answers the mail. You will get a reply from someone who knows the code, usually within a few days, occasionally longer.
lapstack
The manual at lapstack.ragtux.com/docs/ is the first place to look. The pages that answer most questions:
- Quick start — from a folder of frames to a saved image, in a few minutes.
- Browser and hardware — which browsers have WebGPU, how much memory a stack needs, what to do on a machine without a discrete GPU.
- Shooting a stack — step size, overlap, and the mistakes that are made at the camera rather than in the software.
- Troubleshooting — halos, ghosting, a frame that would not align, a raw file that would not open.

What to put in a report
A report we can act on the same day has:
- What you did, what you expected, and what happened instead. One sentence each is plenty.
- The browser and its version (Chrome 130, say), the operating system, and the GPU — the app's About panel shows what it found.
- The stack: how many frames, what format (NEF, CR3, JPEG …), roughly what size, and whether alignment was on.
- The settings you changed from their defaults, if any.
A screenshot of the problem helps. A few frames that reproduce it help most of all: a link to a shared folder is better than an attachment, because mail providers cap attachments and raw files are large. Nothing you send us is kept longer than it takes to fix the bug, and it is never used for anything else.
Nothing in lapstack reports to us by itself — there is no crash reporting and no telemetry — so if it broke, we only know when you tell us.
Contributions
Nothing is for sale: lapstack is free software under the MIT license, in every form, and the terms are on the legal page and, for lapstack, on its own.
A contribution made through the Support lapstack link is not a purchase: it buys nothing, issues no key, and, since RAGTUX is a company, is not a tax-deductible gift. Stripe sends the receipt. If you contributed by mistake, or changed your mind, write to the same address within fourteen days and it is returned.
A security problem
In a program of ours or on one of these sites:
security@ragtux.com, and
/.well-known/security.txt says the same. We
reply to every report, fix what is real, and credit you if you want. Please
give us a reasonable time before publishing.

All four addresses reach the same person. There is no phone line, no chat widget and no ticket system; there is a mailbox that is read.
